Mujidat Folasade Ojo, President Tinubu’s 1st Daughter, Unveiled as Havilla University’s Pro-Chancellor, Chairman Governing Council The Management of Havila University, Nde-Ikom (HUNI) in Ikom Local Government Area of Cross River State has unveiled President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s first daughter Chief Dr. Mujidat Folasade Ojo as the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, Governing Council of the University. At an elaborate occasion held at Continental Hotel, Abuja, Chief Dr Folasade Ojo was unveiled following her acceptance of her recent appointment as the Pro-Chancellor/ Chairman Governing Council of HUNI. The occasion was witnessed by Hon. Evang. Jones A.O. Tangban, Founder and Chancellor of Havilla University, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Adewale Banjo, as well as a member of the HUNI Management Consultants, Dr Sam Ojong. The event was also in company of several technocrats and dignitaries drawn from different geopolitical zones of the country who came to grace the occasion. Chief Dr. Mujidat Folasade Ojo, promised that, as the Pro-Chancellor of Havilla University, she would do everything within her reach to ensure that the University, which is the first private varsity in the whole of Central and Northern Senatorial districts of Criss River State, witness a tremendous turnaround. Expectations are already high about a flurry of activities that would begin at the University, located on Km 15, Ikom-Ogoja Highway, on an expansive area measuring over 200 hectares. Hon. Tangban, the Founder and Chairman of HUNI, while speaking at 13th edition of the International Peace Achievers Award and unveiling of Havilla University’s Pro-Chancellor/ Chairman Governing Council, expressed delight at the acceptance of the President’s first daughter to serve as Pro-Chancellor/ Chairman Governing Council. Hon Tangban said he will gladly join hands with the current administrators of the University to lift it to an enviable level. Havilla University began academic activities on 6th November 2021. Today, the higher institution runs more than 16 degree programmes under Three Faculties—Computing & Sciences, Health Science, and Management Science. Degree programmes include: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Nursing Science, Medical Lab. Science, Public Health, Biotechnology, Economics & Development Studies, Mass Communication, Accountancy, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, among others.
